Starr, New York, a large, decorative carriage clock with polychrome enamel decoration and grand sonnerie striking, the Anglaise variant case set with beveled glasses and gilt, porcelain panels, each decorated with flying and perching birds among flowering vines and branches, the dial with Roman numeral white enamel chapter, on a decorative panel matching the case sides, blued steel distaff hands, 8 day time, strike, and alarm movement with lever platform, sounding grand or petit quarters in passing, and repeating the last hour and quarter on demand, serial #1330
CONDITION: case refinished and with coat of lacquer, left side panel with small chip at lower right, front panel with crazing, movement and platform with minor staining, regulator repaired, gongs with minor oxide, running, striking, and repeating correctly, alarm functional
